The Kogi Indians live in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta on the north region of Colombia. Women are the ones that make the mochilas (Knapsack) but men carry them. Every man wears two mochilas, one of which is usually full of coca leaves, which they chew to cope with affects of the high altitude. These indigenous artisans tightly knit this unique pieces made from goat wool, with elaborated designs which symbolize their vision of the cosmos, preserving a long time tradition passed on from generation to generation.
